The Gladstone Hotel, Gladstone

The hotel was a convenient spot for some business needs and had easy access to grocery stores and recreational facilities. The rooms, although a bit stuffy, were clean and met my expectations for a one-night stopover. The service, especially in solving issues promptly, was commendable. However, the dining experience was a letdown, with dry and disappointing food.

I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were so much better than I expected, particularly in corners and under the bed. They had a funky smell initially, but overall, the room was clean and tidy. The service was excellent, with the staff going out of their way to help with any request. However, I was disappointed to find out the pool was unavailable despite it being advertised. The location offered a perfect balance of comfort and security, allowing me to walk to supermarkets, local places, cafes, and restaurants easily.

The hotel provides spacious and affordable rooms close to amenities but may need renovation. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering modern conveniences but lacking in certain kitchen amenities. The location is at the city center, perfect for exploring nearby attractions, although some refurbishments were ongoing. The dining options are limited, and guests had to pay for bottled water. Overall, a good choice for a short trip.
